About the program
This course is designed with the requirements as mandated by the City of Toronto for you to operate safely as a vehicle-for-hire driver. We’ve built an experience for you to make getting your certification as interesting and painless as possible. We know this material can be dry, but our delivery won’t be. Just like you, we want to make this experience a 5-star rating for everyone.
This training is mandatory for:
- Taxicab driver, owner, and operator or broker
- Limousine driver and owner
- Vehicle for Hire driver for a Private Transportation
- Company (PTC) such as Uber, Lyft, or Facedrive

CHAPTER 3
Providing Service to Accessible Users
Learn how to deliver respectful and effective service to passengers with disabilities or accessibility needs. Topics include assisting with mobility devices, understanding accessibility laws and standards, and creating a welcoming environment for all riders.
CHAPTER 4
Anti-racism and Discrimination
This chapter focuses on recognizing, preventing, and addressing racism and discrimination in the vehicle-for-hire industry. You’ll explore the importance of equitable service, understand how bias can impact interactions, and learn how to foster inclusive, respectful experiences for all.
CHAPTER 5
Legal Requirements of Vehicle-For-Hire Drivers
In this chapter, you’ll gain a clear understanding of the laws and regulations that govern vehicle-for-hire drivers. This includes licensing, insurance, safety standards, record-keeping, and compliance with local bylaws.
